Myst III Exile takes place 10 years after Riven. You go to Tomahna, Atrus' new home. Atrus offers to show you Releeshahn, the age where the remaining D'ni have established. Before that can happen, a man appears and steals the linking book. You go after him through several ages, and try to understand who he is.

It is recommended to use the most recent official game update for your language. Note that the DVD version comes fully updated.

  • Atrus' movie upon giving the first fragment when returning to J'nanin is lacking display. This is because its alpha channel is to "all transparent". Find out why the original engine displays it correctly.
  • The rotation speed of the view is not properly limited. The original engine also seems to have inertia.
  • A software renderer using TinyGL may be useful on some platforms.
