We applied independently in 2014 and were not accepted alone, but we were accepted for the GSoC 2014 under the umbrella of our sister project, ScummVM.

We applied under the ScummVM umbrella in 2015, but the ScummVM project failed to convince Google that year. In 2016 and 2017, we applied again under the umbrella of ScummVM. The ScummVM umbrella group was accepted, but no student chose to work on a ResidualVM task that year. The ScummVM umbrella group was accepted, and ResidualVM participated in Google Summer of Code 2018.

Feel free to check out the GSoC Ideas page. Everybody is welcome to work on tasks listed there (or come up with tasks of their own), independent from the SoC.

Our sister project, ScummVM, developed some Project Rules which are obligatory for our students.

There are some Guidelines for our students, information of what we expect to see in an application and GSoC'ers Tips From Past GSoC'ers.

To contact the ScummVM umbrella project team, see information on GSoC Contact.
